Having originally designed this space twelve years before, Claire was excited by the opportunity to redesign the space to better match Press* Food & Wine’s personality and energy. With the building initially being based around communal dining and featuring darker colours, this space was completely reshaped to suit the needs of Press* Food & Wine whilst also catering to the needs of patrons in a post-COVID world.

The focus of this space was to generate a lighter and brighter space that exudes an alluring and compelling energy whilst offering cosy dining experiences. With this idea being the heart of the restaurant, it was decided that the stone needed to be unique and feature a lot of personality to elevate the space. Feeling courageous in their selection, Cello Marble was chosen due to its natural colours, striking veining, and impressive texture. With consumers directly interacting with the natural stone at their seats, this stone acts as a talking point that consumers are sure to enjoy whilst loving their meal.

Entering the space, your eyes immediately find the bar sitting in the middle of the space that is adorned by a Cello Marble benchtop the entire way around. This benchtop creates a space in which people can come and enjoy the European cuisine and extensive wine offering whilst socialising with people they know and people they don’t. The microcement paired with the Cello Marble allows for a natural energy to flow throughout the restaurant as the concrete aesthetic brings out the stark black veins of the Cello that is reminiscent of the appearance of mountains and geographic formations.

The dining table found towards the entrance of the restaurant makes for a space in which larger dining parties can engage and enjoy in a more secluded area. With Cello Marble beneath their fingertips, this natural stone brings life and character into the area, making customers feel comfortable in doing the same. The Cello again ties in nicely with the microcement against the walls to bring a warm glow to the interior.

Don’t feel like sampling the wineries and restaurants nearby? No need to worry, your kitchen can cater to any type of meal you feel like cooking, baking or preparing. With the benchtop, island and splash back in Tempest Quartzite, this kitchen truly is the central statement of this home. With rich gold veins against a warm beige background, this kitchen demands your attention and makes it hard for you to look away. Pairing this natural stone with simple cream cabinetry and silver tapware allows for Tempest to be the spotlight of this space. 

The living room is a space where you can unwind and truly relax, perhaps with a glass of Red Hill red wine. With Accona Marble adorning the wine cellar and fireplace, this natural stone integrates with the warm colour palette used, specifically the rusty red of the carpet and fireplace wood. This space exudes warmth from not only the crackling of the fireplace but the character and texture of the Accona Marble featured. With this same marble flowing into the wine cellar, it creates a greater sense of consistency between the two spaces and highlights the warm and inviting nature of the tranquil earthy tones.

Natural Stone doesn’t just belong on kitchen benchtops anymore. This relaxing country getaway allows for the master ensuite to have a memorable personality of its own by incorporating an integrated Emerald Haze sink and vanity. Using Emerald Haze Quartzite in this space evokes the idea that the external environment flows through the house, with the green of the stone matching the green of the plants lying just outside. This natural stone helps to create a softer and lighter space by pairing the Emerald Haze with warm timber cabinetry and small white tiles. 

Small spaces can still make a large statement with the unique and eccentric Bellini Marble making up the entirety of the vanity in the powder room. Paired with black trimmings, tapware and a brass light, the bold orange and peach hues of the natural stone become only that much more vibrant and eye-catching. With this natural stone using half of the space, it truly is the centrepiece to the powder room and provides a sense of fun and excitement into an otherwise forgotten area.

This guest bathroom speaks to simplicity and sensibility with Taj Mahal Quartzite adorning the vanity and shower. Using a calmer and more sophisticated stone in this space helps to elicit feelings of tranquility and composure, feelings that are desired in such a retreat. This space still keeps consistency throughout the home by using lighter colours that are intended to induce warmth and tranquility. With light timber cabinetry and simplistic silver trimmings and tapware, this bathroom allows anyone to feel as if they’ve just walked into their own personal spa, and Taj Mahal Quartzite helps make this happen.

Opposites attract in this at one with nature home designed by Formosa, that features quite different natural stones. The kitchen is a lighter space with Onde Rosa Marble and the cellar is moodier with Negresco Quartzite, enabling the home to embody different moods in every space.

The dark wood of the cabinetry contrasts against the light white and blush tones of the Onde Rosa Marble. This design is both delicate and tasteful as the pink hues of the natural stone appear more vibrant and vivid against the warmth of the wood, creating a sense of welcomeness.

The cellar of this home is sophisticated and refined with the use of the dark Negresco Quartzite on the walls and benchtop. The depth and dark moody nature of the Negresco becomes a feature that enhances the overall energy of the space.

Interior Stylist Steve Cordony has created a one-of-a-kind guesthouse that exudes sophistication and charm at the beautiful Rosedale Farm. With Arabescato Vagli Marble making an appearance in various spaces, this home guesthouse is both stylish, yet warm and inviting.

The Arabescato Vagli used for kitchen spaces and bathroom areas, is complemented by brass fixtures and fittings, conveying a sense of luxury for guests. 

To ensure an even more balanced and delightful space, the shelves in the cupboards within the kitchen nook, also feature Arabescato Vagli Marble. The flow of this natural stone makes for an exemplary interior which contributes to the feeling of this cosy and comfortable farm house.

This calming and elegant design was produced by Georgie Shepherd Interior Design to create a tranquil kitchen space. With the benchtop and splashback featuring Taj Mahal Quartzite and the cabinetry being a cream  colour, this creates a warm and welcoming energy.

The curves of the Taj Mahal Quartzite benchtop produce a soft and delicate appearance that aids the warmth of the kitchen. The beiges and browns of this natural stone contrast against the sage green cupboards giving the kitchen an overall tone of earthiness and lightness.

The bathroom takes a bolder and more dramatic direction with dark red walls that complement the Calacatta Viola Marble. With a more simplistic design used in this interior, the red hues of the stone and walls become a feature that stand out and amaze rather than overpower.

The great minds at Scopeview Projects have done it again and produced this divine and dream-like home known as Tennyson Point. With Super White making a striking appearance in the bathroom, this space speaks to luxury and sophistication.

The Super White Dolomite adorns the floors and vanity within this main ensuite to create a cohesive and cool design. The dark charcoal veining of Super White contrasts against the gold fixtures and white walls of the bathroom to create an attractive interior.

The high point of this bathroom is the large round skylight that allows for a generous amount of sunlight. This sunshine brings out the inner beauty of Super White and showcases its distinct colours, naturalistic texture and vivid dimension in its best light.
